On March 17, Penn State announced that the last football practice of the season—affectionately known as the Blue and White game—would be open to students. However, they decided to only invite the freshman class.
The decision makes zero sense. Freshmen will have 3 full seasons and 3 Blue & White games left to experience Penn State Football. Seniors, though? This is our last chance to ever experience a football game as students. The decision was simply disrespectful to Penn State's most loyal fans who have religiously purchased season tickets for years.
Naturally, outrage erupted, prompting nearly 12,000 people to sign a petition calling for Penn State to let seniors attend the game. However, the people's cries were ignored, and Penn State didn't take us seriously.
So, we the students are back to show them that seniors will not go down without a fight. We've launched a grassroots movement that will flood our Athletic Director's inbox with emails, showcasing how loud our voices are. But, just to make sure they can't ignore us, we'll be cc'ing some high-level donors as well ;)
If Penn State still doesn't let us in, we will host a Seniors-Only Protest Tailgate outside Beaver Stadium during the game, displaying our disapproval.
We'll shut down this site as soon as Penn State announces seniors will be allowed into the game. Sandy Barbour—make the right call, because after all, the ball is in your court. Just let us inside of it...

They can easily ignore our petitions, but we know what really matters to Penn State Athletics: money. Each email will CC some heavy-hitting donors to let them know that seniors are getting totally shafted. Don’t they deserve to know how Penn State treats its most loyal fans?
